ANNOUNCEMENT

of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus

ON THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTIONS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS IN 2025

 

The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus, having considered at its session on February 3, 2025, the voting protocols of the presidential election commissions from the regions and the city of Minsk, has established the following results of the election of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The total number of voters in the Republic of Belarus was 6,903,994.

In accordance with part three of Article 79 of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus, the elections were recognized valid, since 5,916,195 voters took part in the voting, making up 85.69 percent of the total voters’ number.

Aleksandr Grigoryevich LUKASHENKO was elected President of the Republic of Belarus. 5,136,293 votes were cast in favor of his candidacy, or 86.82 percent, i.e. more than half of the citizens of the Republic of Belarus who took part in the voting.

Other candidates had the following votes’ count:

for Oleg Sergeyevich GAIDUKEVICH – 119,272 votes, or 2.02 percent of the votes;

for Anna Anatolievna KANOPATSKAYA – 109,760 votes, or 1.86 percent of the votes;

for Sergei Alexandrovich SYRANKOV – 189,740 votes, or 3.21 percent of the votes;

for Alexander Nikolayevich KHIZHNYAK – 102,789 votes, or 1.74 percent of the votes.

213,277 voters, or 3.6 percent of voters, did not support any of the candidates.

A total of 45,064 ballots were recognized as invalid.
